S.A.M. terms of use
The licence for playing S.A.M., the full game and the demo, from Antumbra Ltd.
About these terms
These terms cover S.A.M., the full game and its free demo, made by Antumbra Ltd ("we"). By installing or playing S.A.M. you agree to them. If you bought the game through a store, that store's own terms also apply to the purchase.
Your licence to play
When you buy S.A.M., or download the demo, we give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and play it on computers you own or control, for your own non-commercial use. You get a licence to use the game, not ownership of it or of its code, art, music, sound or story.
You may stream, record and share videos and screenshots of yourself playing S.A.M., including on monetised channels. We just ask that you don't present it as your own work.
What you can't do
Please don't copy, share, sell, rent or redistribute the game or its files; don't remove copyright notices; and don't extract, reuse or resell its art, music, sound or code, or use them to train AI models. Don't reverse engineer the game except where the law allows it. Mods and tweaks for your own play are fine, but don't distribute modified copies of the game.
Online features
S.A.M. is a single-player game and plays offline. A few optional features go online: anonymous gameplay stats (only if you allow them), Send feedback (only what you choose to send) and Discord status (only while Discord is running, and you can turn it off in Settings). Our privacy policy explains what they send. We may change or stop these features at any time; the game itself keeps working without them.
Please don't use Send feedback to send anything unlawful, abusive or anyone's personal details.
Updates
We may release updates that fix bugs, change balance or add and remove content. Your store may install them automatically. Your saves stay on your computer.
Your consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described, such as those under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms affects those rights. Refunds for purchases are handled by the store you bought from, under its own policy and the law.
Apart from those rights, the game is provided as it is. We work hard to make it run well, but we can't promise it will be free of bugs or run on every computer.
Our liability
We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for damage caused by using S.A.M. on hardware or software it does not support. Nothing here limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.
Ending the licence
You can stop using S.A.M. at any time by uninstalling it. If you seriously break these terms, for example by distributing copies of the game, your licence ends and you must delete your copies.
Changes and law
We may update these terms; the new version will be posted here with a new date. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts there have jurisdiction, though if you live elsewhere in the UK or the EU you can also bring a claim where you live.
